I speak to a lot of business owners. They start out gung ho and ready to conquer the world. But after a year or two they aren’t getting much traction and they don’t know what to do. They feel stuck and sometimes are ready to throw in the towel.
It is easy to get frustrated at times because things are not happening like you anticipated. So what is it that you are going to do?
The first thing to do is step back. Even if it is only going for a hike or getting away for a weekend from you business. Try to not think about your business at all. You want to get your mind out of the sell doubt conversation that you keep with yourself. Then you can come back for your break with a clear head.
Start asking the following questions:
- Why am I stuck?
- What is my top business goal?
- What is my first milestone?
- What date do I want to achieve it by?
Then come up with an actionable list of tasks that will propel you forward. If you don’t have an ideas find a mentor that can look at your business with fresh eyes and give you feedback on what you should do.
Remember the opposite of being stuck is taking massive action that will drive you forward. As Tony Robbins says, “The path to success is to take massive, determined action”. Massive actions provides results. Results will give you the confidence that will drive you.
Can you come up with at least 3 things to do every day that will help build your business. Doing 3 things each day will create momentum not only in your business but in your mindset. And your mind is really where you are stuck.
Have courage and push yourself. Courage is not the absence of fear but the triumph over it. Be the ninja that you always knew you could be and before you know it you will be flying high.
